Finegreen Featured Job of the Week - Director of Healthcare Services

  • Specialism: Operational Management
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: Nationwide
  • Reference:JJ/17388

Ingeus deliver services that make a genuine difference to people's lives, including employment and health programmes, services for young people, training and skills support, and probation services. Since 2002, they have grown to become a leader within their core markets, while using their experience and expertise in order to diversify into other sectors.

They have recently entered the healthcare sector and together with Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC), they have been selected as a provider on the government’s new flagship National Diabetes Programme (NDPP). This programme will offer support to 100,000 people in England who are at high risk of getting Type 2 diabetes to become healthier and avoid developing the condition.

Those referred to the NDPP will get tailored, personalised support, including education on healthy eating and lifestyle, help to lose weight and bespoke physical exercise programmes. It will be a service that combines the evidence-based expertise of LDC with Ingeus’ experience in delivering large scale national programmes.

Ingeus are keen to capitalise on this success within the healthcare sector and in order to do this they are seeking to appoint a Director of Healthcare Services. The Director of Healthcare Services will lead the successful delivery of the NDPP, while also looking to identify future opportunities within the healthcare sector that will also complement their core business area.

We are looking to identify candidates who have experience operating at a senior level within the healthcare sector. Ingeus will need an individual with an in-depth understanding of the UK’s healthcare landscape and a thorough understanding of how services are commissioned. As a suitable candidate you will have the ability to engage and influence senior clinicians and will understand the importance of achieving excellence in quality of care, patient experience and in evidencing clinical outcomes.

The key to success in this role will lie in your ability to combine the operational ‘here and now’ of delivering this programme, with the longer term strategic objective of growing the healthcare business. This post would suit a candidate who is currently operating as a senior operational manager within a healthcare setting. However you should have an appetite for business development and will have already demonstrated commercial acumen and flair.

This is an exceptional opportunity to break from the norm, to deliver a critical programme and to build a business unit from the ground up. If you believe you have the experience and drive to take on this exciting challenge, then we would be delighted to hear from you. For a confidential discussion please contact Joe Joyce on 0345 130 4006.

Applications close on 3 July
Interviews are scheduled to be held from 11 – 22 July
