Finegreen Featured Job of the Week - Director of Nursing and Quality

  • Specialism: Board Appointments
  • Salary: AfC -  Band 9
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: East Midlands
  • Reference: NS/17232

With a budget of £427m and serving a registered population of 380,000, Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is one of the leading CCGs in the country. They were one of only 8 CCGs in the first wave of 34 to achieve the highest level of authorisation and began life without any conditions being imposed. Since inception in 2013, the CCG has remained at the forefront of effective and innovative commissioning, providing a platform for high quality services.

They were one of the first CCGs to take on fully delegated commissioning of primary care services. They have established strong partnerships with their local partners in health and social care and are committed to delivering transformational change. This will enable them to address the significant financial challenges facing all NHS organisations but in addition to meet the specific needs of Leicester’s highly diverse and often disadvantaged population.

The role of Director of Nursing and Quality will be key to securing this future and ensuring patients continue to receive the best possible care. The post holder will be working very closely with all of the CCG’s provider organisations to thoroughly scrutinise the care patients are receiving, identify any concerns at an early stage and help providers to improve the situation where standards may have fallen.

We are looking to attract highly experienced, registered nurses who will have gained Board level experience, exposure either as a full Board member or alternatively as a Deputy or Associate. The post holder will provide leadership within the CCG in all matters relating to nursing, allied health, quality and safety. In addition to their direct remit, they will also contribute to the CCG’s wider strategy and agenda as part of the executive management team.

Applications Close: Friday 13th May
