Our featured job of the week is for an NHS organisation in the West Midlands who are seeking to recruit to the post of Director of Operations - Surgical Services, to support them in achieving their strategic objectives and 2020 vision.

They’re always seeking ways to do more and provide the best care for their patients.

Due to the internal career progression of the current post holder, they are seeking to recruit to the post of Director of Operations - Surgical Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead their innovative and highly respected Surgical Services Clinical Group. In October 2018, the Trust will open their new Midland Metropolitan Hospital (MMH) which will provide all acute in-patient care for the Trust. This is not just about a hospital move but about redesigning pathways and teams to provide excellence of care in a modern setting. The new electronic patient record that is implemented in 2017 is yet another enabler to redesign how the Trust provide care to ensure it is safe, effective and efficient.

You will need to demonstrate extensive experience in the management of clinical services at a senior level, possess strong leadership skills, a track record of delivering results and be numerically confident. With strong change management skills, you will need to be able to effectively lead teams through a period of significant transformation.
