A leading NHS Trust based in the Home Counties is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Director of Community Services and Integration to provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Trust services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing stakeholder strategy and supporting development of partnerships and strategic alliances across the Trust services areas;
  • Acting as the lead Director for the Public Health agenda, ensuring the Trust is up to date with the public health initiatives, and that mental health and community services are represented on key groups and initiatives;
  • Developing and maintaining links and representation with partners to ensure we are well placed in respect to developing integration and working in partnership;
  • Ensuring that explicit performance agreements are developed, targets are met and, where there is deviation from agreed performance levels, that recovery plans are developed and delivered;
  • Jointly accountable for the development and implementation of the strategic direction and corporate management of the Trust ensuring that quality is at the core of decision making;
  • Ensuring delivery of internal, local and national targets as agreed through the Trust’s contact and annual business plan;
  • Working with other members of the Board to ensure that the Trust has robust corporate and practice governance arrangements in place and that the Trust achieves its business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Masters level degree or substantial equivalent experience
  • A track record of successfully operating at or close to Board level in a complex health or social care organisation
  • Track record of delivering and exceeding performance goals and targets in a complex environment with conflicting priorities and demands;
  • Effective management and leadership skills with an understanding of how these skills need to be deployed in an organisation with complex governance arrangements;
  • Knowledge and awareness of national NHS and social care strategy and policy.
