Our featured job of the week is for an NHS organisation based in the West Midlands who are looking to appoint a Head of Business and Contract Performance for a period of 5 months.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Contracts Management function for NHS111 and Emergency and Urgent Ambulance Services which is commissioned across 15+ CCGs (for NHS111) and 20+ CCGs (for 999);
• Working with the Lead Commissioners Business Intelligence, Finance in a matrix reporting arrangement and have direct contacts with associate commissioners and the providers.

A successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge and understanding of the NHS Standard Contract including the use of Model Collaborative Agreements, Step-In arrangements and Contract Variations processes;
• Knowledge of Ambulance Services and NHS 111 and performance management arrangements for these services, including how these service interface and / or integrate with the wider health economy including Accident and Emergency, Unscheduled and Urgent Care, Primary and Community Services;
• Knowledge of relevant operational standards which are applicable to these services;
• Knowledge of the Contract levers and mechanisms within the contract;
• Knowledge of Clinical Quality and Quality review mechanisms within the contract including CQUINs, DQIPs, SDIP processes.
