Our featured job of the week is for an NHS organisation based in the East of England who are currently looking for a Head of Estates for a potential temp – perm role.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Effectively managing Estates maintenance and specialist mechanical and engineering services and ensuring they are maintained in a safe condition in accordance with Statutory Obligations, Codes of Practice and Department of Health Guidelines;
• Providing an efficient and economical service to the User Departments and external customers;
• Maintaining control and management of assigned budgets and ensuring satisfactory year end outturns;
• Monitoring performance and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the Estates management team;
• Training and developing staff to deliver services that meet the organisational development needs of the Trust;

A successful candidate will have:

• Educated to first Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience in an Engineering discipline;
• Evidence of continuing professional development;
• Proven engineering management experience to include staff management / supervisory responsibilities;
• Understanding of Estates maintenance;
• Performance management / operational management;
• Knowledge of technical developments, financial procedures and statutory regulations
