A leading NHS Acute Trust is urgently seeking a Head of Finance for an initial 3 month interim contract to assist the Trust through a period of transition.

The Head of Finance will provide strategic financial and performance information and business planning advice to Senior Management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring financial and performance information for the Medicine Division is delivered in a robust and timely manner;
• Communicating financial information to budget holders, including clinicians and the implications of this information;
• Investigating and advising on complex and strategic financial performance issues;
• Ensuring cost budgets and expenditure statements are delivered to agreed   timetables;
• Supporting the Senior Finance team in the preparation of the Trust’s monthly finance and performance board report;
• Monitoring the impact of approved business cases, service developments and cost improvements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Recent NHS Acute experience within a similar position;
• Recognised finance qualification or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge.
