Finegreen Featured Job of the Week - Head of Transformation and QIPP, South Central

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising and working with all commissioner and provider partners to ensure there is a coherent, co-ordinated and well communicated set of plans in place to deliver the agreed change programme objectives;
  • Ensuring that individual projects within the programme deliver their anticipated benefits. They will provide support to the Director of Strategy on all aspects of the programme, leading and deputising as required and attend Berkshire West wide meetings and providing timely and accurate reports;
  • Building on the existing QIPP and Transformation programme, providing programme co-ordination, and completion of the overall plan to achieve transformational change. This plan will need to include a coordinated approach to the support for and interface with projects and strategic workforce planning;
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders across the health and social care economy to ensure projects are effectively aligned to support delivery of the overall programme;
  • Establishing effective programme management arrangements for the QIPP and Transformation programme;
  • Proactively monitoring overall progress of the programme, managing interdependencies between projects, resolving issues and implementing corrective action as appropriate.
  • Liaising with identified project managers and improvement leads to ensure that the development of PIDs and business cases for each project are on track and meet the standards required by the CCGs.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Masters/Higher degree/equivalent qualification or equivalent experience gained through at least 5 years working at a senior level in Health or Social Care;
  • Postgraduate management qualification;
  • Significant knowledge and experience of programme and project management;
  • Significant knowledge and experience of delivery of service change in a major organisation;
  • Able to think strategically and operate tactically;
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Good understanding of the NHS Health & Social Care reform programme;
  • Good report writing skills for a range of audiences.
