Our featured job of the week is for a large NHS organisation based in London who are currently seeking a very capable individual to work within their Commissioning Directorate whilst they recruit to the permanent post.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead on the Primary Care Improvement agenda and will deliver upon key projects within the Primary Care work programme;
• Contribute to the development of strategies and operational plans that enable the CCG to engage with partners and stakeholders as a membership organisation;
• Support the commissioning of services that achieve both national and local objectives with a particular emphasis on delivering improved health, clinical outcomes, patient experience and productivity whilst meeting financial, legal and contractual requirements;
• Support the development and implementation of the CCG Locality Plan for the population served by the CCG, contribute to the successful commissioning of Primary Care services;
• Develop strategic commissioning, planning and developments across Primary Care.

A successful candidate will have:

• Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate an understanding of the current NHS landscape and Primary Care priorities;
• Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales;
• Understanding of the relevant legislative framework, national and local targets, national policy and key external organisations and the implications in practice.
