A well-established Local Government authority is recruiting for an interim Public Health Consultant who shall be working for the CCG. This position is based in the North West for a period of just over 5 months.

• Support the GM devolution process, reduce attendance at A and E and support a mental health strategy;
• Focus on supporting healthcare commissioning from the main base of the CCG;
• Provide public health advice to support and inform an evidence-based approach within ethical frameworks for commissioning;
• Develop and utilise information and intelligence systems to underpin public health action across disciplines and organisations;
• Lead on public health support to the joint commissioning of health and social care and services to promote health between the local authority and the CCG;
• Deputise for the Director of Public Health as required.
