Finnish companies invade Red Herring’s Europe Award shortlist

The Red Herring editorial team has selected finalists for the 2012 Red Herring 100 Europe Award. The short list includes 23 Finnish technology companies from gaming and medical industries, environmental sector as well as software and application developers from variety of industries.
The winners are going to be announced in Amsterdam in April 25.
The Finnish companies in the finalists list are Cognitive Maps, DealDash, Ekogen, Epicrystals, Helpten, Hibox Systems, HyperIn, In4mo, Kiosked, LeadDesk, MeVEA, Modz, Ovelin, Relaxbirth, Setera, Suomen Verkkomaksut, ThingLink, ThirdPresence, UNIQOTEQ, Walkbase, Warrantify, WOT Services and XMLdation.
According to a Red Herring statement, the finalists are the most innovative and promising companies from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. The companies are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, IP creation, CAGR, execution of strategy, and disruption in their respective industries.
