Two top awards for Oumph! – 'Best New Food Product of the Year' and 'Best Food Product for Food Service'

Oumph! Kebab Spiced has won Best New Food Product of the Year, awarded by Food Matters Live.

Oumph! The Chunk has been awarded Gold by the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards, in the category Food For Food Service.

"We are excited and honoured to win two such prestigious awards", says Anna-Kajsa Lidell, Co-founder & Head of Progress Strategy at Food for Progress, the Swedish company behind plant-based success brand Oumph!

Anna-Kajsa Lidell continues:

"We are currently building collaborations with restaurants and food service companies in the UK and we believe these awards will help put Oumph! on the map."

Plant-based food is one of the mega trends in food at the moment, and restaurants are picking up the pace. In the UK Oumph! is currently on the menu in Busaba, Hilton Hotels and Sodexo food services.

In Sweden and the other Nordic countries, the Oumph! products is on the menu in a number of leading fast food, cafe and restaurant chains, including Max Burgers, O'Learys Sports bars, Wayne's Coffee, Peppe's Pizza and Pizza Hut.

"We aim to further build on this success in the UK. When more and more restaurants put the brand name Oumph! on their menus, it helps reassure the consumers that they are getting a high quality plant protein product. It also highlights a product that has the potential to really ignite a change towards resource efficient, climate friendly food consumption, due to its epic texture and taste", says Anna-Kajsa Lidell.

Oumph! launched in Tesco earlier this year, where five products are listed - including the plant-based Oumph! Pizza Italian Style. A selection of Oumph! products are also available in Holland & Barrett, Whole Foods Market and a number of independent chains and stores across the UK.

Popular Oumph! products include Pulled Oumph!, Kebab Spiced, Thyme & Garlic, Salty & Smoky, The Chunk, and the Oumph! Pizza Italian Style.
