R Charity Golf Day at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club

Fortrus will be supporting the R Charity Golf Day again this year at The Royal Liverpool Golf Course on the 7th July.

The R Charity raises funds to enable the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Royal) to provide the best possible health care to patients from Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

They aim to make sure that care in the new Royal is the very best by ensuring:

• their doctors and nurses have the latest state-of-the-art equipment to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients
• they have an environment that gives the best experience for patients and families anywhere in the NHS

What do they do?

It is an exciting time for the R Charity and all those involved with the hospital. The new Royal is really taking shape and is due to open late 2017.

At R Charity they want to make sure the hospital can provide a world-class service for the region that goes beyond even the NHS standard of care.

Their aim is to raise £10 million for the new hospital.

They are targeting their fundraising on a number of carefully selected areas which will help provide comfortable patient environments, welcoming visitors’ areas and world class medical equipment. Every bit of support they receive – large or small – makes a difference.

All the equipment is in addition to equipment that the NHS can fund and the generosity of the public will make their hospital one of the best in the country.

R Charity has received support from individuals, community groups, larger organisations, businesses and other charities.
