Tomorrow 'Team Fortrus' will begin the Bloodwise cycle from London to Paris

London | Paris is a four day endurance bike ride, covering the varied landscapes of Kent and northern France. It's one of the only London to Paris cycle rides to offer rolling road closures throughout France,  and it's the only ride where all the money raised goes directly towards improving the lives of blood cancer patients.

By this time tomorrow we will already be well on our way, we are not just doing this 'for fun', but to raise awareness and much needed funds for Bloodwise.

Blood cancer affects people of all ages. When Bloodwise began in 1960 hardly anyone survived the disease. Now more than 9 in 10 children with the most common form of leukaemia survive, and in time, we're sure that every child and adult with the disease will survive. It just takes research and lots of money.

Chemotherapy was first discovered as a cure for childhood leukaemia and advanced Hodgkin lymphoma in the 1960s and 1970s. It’s now the mainstay of almost all cancer treatment, but it usually brings harsh side effects and we need to find alternatives and to do that, we need to raise money for research.
