Ken Simuyemba Spreads His Vocal Wings With New Album ‘Like An Eagle’

Available now on CD and from all online stores, the new six track album is a joy from start to finish. From the beautiful title track, ‘Like An Eagle’, to Simuyemba’s accoustic reimagining of Freddie Mercury’s ‘There Must Be More To Life Than This’, the album perfectly showcases Ken Simuyemba’s velvet voice and song-writing talents. Out of all of the six tracks featured on the album, the haunting Lys Og Varme will have listeners hitting the replay button time and time again.

The music industry keeps an eagle eye on Ken Simuyemba

With a voice like no other and a talent for writing uplifting and catchy songs, London based Norwegian citizen Ken Simuyemba is a unique and diverse artist who is as comfortable with toe-tappers like last year’s ‘Say You Love Me’ as with the smooth and polished sound of the new album. An accomplished writer and performer, Simuyemba describes one of the highlights of his career as the moment in 1992 when he met his hero and inspiration, South African legend Nelson Mandela, and performed for him his song, ‘Our World Full Of Fire’.

Along with fellow musician Paul McCartney, Ken Simuyemba is a great supporter of Come Together People, an organisation which uses music and cultural events as tools to fundraise and promote unity, something which is extremely important to him and which is reflected in many of his thoughtful and thought-provoking lyrics.

Songbird with honours

Singer, composer and producer, Zambian born Simuyemba has worked with leading labels such as EMI and Polygram and is one of very few artists given the honour of being licensed to perform and record Michael Jackson’s massive hit, Billie Jean.

The new album follows on from Ken’s hits such as ‘For Heaven’s Sake’ and ‘You Can Run But You Can’t Hide’ and shows a more full bodied and polished side of this outstanding vocalist.
