Danish MeetTech startup Gaest.com looks to strengthen position in UK market

Gaest.com , northern Europe’s largest online marketplace for listing, discovering and booking creative spaces, is hoping to make a bigger splash in the UK market. The MeetTech company already offers more than 1,000 unique venues in London, but ambitions are much higher as the need for more creative and alternative spaces continues to grow.

The latest move involves naming Londoner  Glenn Thorsen as the new UK Head of Operations. This move is part of Gaest.com’s foray into international markets by leveraging local partners, experts and specialists.

“Gaest.com is a moonshot idea that challenges the way we think about using creative spaces to improve meetings, workshops or even hackathons for that matter,” Thorsen says. “I’m so excited to be a part of Gaest.com’s journey, especially when I think about how many professionals in the UK will benefit from this”.

Anders Mogensen, CEO, and Co-founder of Gaest.com is thrilled to add Glenn Thorsen to the team: “It’s been essential for us to build a global company from day one, and with Glenn on board in London, we’re taking another bold step towards realizing that goal” he says.

Things seem to be taking off as Gaest.com has already been shortlisted for the Travel Technology Disrupt Awards at the upcoming Business Travel Show (BTS) on 21-22 February 2018. Held in Olympia London, the BTS is Europe’s largest conference & exhibition for European travel professionals with more than 7,500 attendees. It showcases the very latest in industry innovation and helps newcomers, like Gaest.com, promote their ideas. Needless to say, this is a huge pat on the back for the Danish startup and puts them in company with other promising startups like Flightsayer, Wizme and TroopTravel.
