Press release —
Free At Last - Disability Hate Crime and Equality
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
All men are created equal, a powerful sentence that makes us ask “what is the meaning of being equal?” Whatever the meaning we associate with it, whether it is freedom or titles or lack of abuse, Disability Hate Crime destroys this freedom and equality.
What is Disability Hate Crime?
Disability Hate Crime is abuse, prejudice and discrimination against an individual, or group of individuals based upon their disability. Disability Hate Crime is not just anti-social behaviour, Disability Hate Crime is not bullying. Disability Hate Crime is torturing, tormenting and traumatising people based on a characteristic that does not define them. Disability Hate Crime denies people the equality that they need.
Stop Disability Hate Crime Project
The Stop Disability Hate Crime Project is the bringing together of anyone who is against Disability Hate Crime and works for it to be stopped. The project is headed by Alex G Rowley and Clenton Farquharson, both work together endlessly to bring a stop to Disability Hate Crime. They see the victims, crying in choruses, and cannot allow it to continue. Equality is dying under Disability Hate Crime.
