Go North East wins national praise

We are celebrating being recognised nationally as a ‘Top 3’ bus company at the prestigious UK Bus Awards 2015.

We picked up bronze awards for ‘Top City Operator’ and ‘Sustained Marketing Excellence’. This is the fourth year running we have been shortlisted for Top City Operator and won gold in the Marketing category in 2013.

This year’s entry for marketing called ‘Listen, Target, Go’ was all about our significant investment in research which allows us to listen to what our customers want and act on it.

Ninety-seven finalists were selected from more than 250 entries, in 19 categories after a rigorous judging process.

The annual awards now in their 20th year, recognise and reward the achievements of the bus industry and aim to inspire others with winning approaches.

Managing director Kevin Carr said: “To be recognised nationally as a Top 3 bus company in two categories is a great achievement. And of course, it is not down to luck that we are up there – it’s thanks to our 2,100 employees and a talented marketing team.”
