We’re appealing for witnesses after a man assaulted a 15-year-old girl by grabbing her by the wrist in Riverside Park, Southampton.

This took place between 1.30pm and 2pm today (Wednesday 15 August).

The girl was not injured or threatened but was left shaken as a result.

The man was described as:

  • White with dirty skin
  • Aged in his 30s to 40s
  • Around 6ft tall
  • Scrawny
  • Dark beard with grey bits in it
  • A finger missing on his left hand below the knuckle

He was described as wearing a black unbranded hoody with the hood up.

PC James Morgan said: “This incident happened in daylight with a number of people around at the time.

“We are positive someone may have seen something, or have an idea of who this man is.

“Can you help us?”
