Appeal for witnesses after bike stolen from 11-year-old boy in Basingstoke

We are appealing for witnesses after a bike was stolen from a boy in Basingstoke.

The 11-year-old boy was in Buckskin Lane, Basingstoke, when he was pushed to the ground by an unknown man between 6.10pm and 6.45pm on Saturday (September 15).

The man then kicked the boy, before stealing his black and green Carrera Vulcan bike.

Fortunately the boy did not suffer any injuries and the bike was later recovered in Pinkerton Road by officers.

The incident happened on a busy road, close to a residential area, so officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or saw the man riding the bike before it was found Pinkerton Road.

The man is described as being black, aged between 20 and 28, around 6ft tall, or a muscular build and was wearing a black hooded top and a red and green Gucci belt.
