Appeal for witnesses after boy assaulted in Southampton

We are appealing for information after an 11-year-old boy from Southampton suffered a fractured cheek bone following an incident on Sunday 23 June.

The incident happened in the park on Leaside Way next to St Georges School between 4.40pm and 4.55pm.

It was reported a teenage boy approached him and assaulted him, before running off.

He has been described as:

Asian

Aged between 12 and 14-years-old

5 feet 2 inches

Skinny / slim build

Short black hair

Wearing:

Grey shorts

Grey T-shirt

Black trainers

Officers investigating the assault would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the boy we have described, particularly if they saw someone running away from the park around this time on Sunday.
