Appeal to trace stolen Royal Navy medals

We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing three silver medals stolen from a retired Royal Naval Officer during a burglary in Gosport.

Entry was forced into a residential property in White Lion Walk between September 14 and 16.

The 71 year old victim is devastated at their loss, particularly as he had intended to pass them onto his grandson.

All the medals feature the victim’s service number D085789T. They are described as:

  • A NATO medal from the conflict with the former Yugoslavia
  • A Long Service and Good Conduct medal
  • A Meritorious medal from the Ministry of Defence.

A 32” Polaroid TV, Hitachi DVD player, Barr and Stroud binoculars, cash and food and alcohol were also stolen from the address.
