Investigation following attempted burglary at Southampton Co-op store
We’re appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Southampton.
Officers are investigating after three men tried to break into the Co-op store in Bassett Green Road, on July 6, between 12.25am and 1.15am.
They tried to gain entry to the back of the store, using a sledge hammer.
However, when that failed they fled the scene.
One of the men was wearing black trousers, a dark padded coat, a black hat, black trainers with white toe caps and a light coloured scarf covering his face.
A second man was wearing a dark coat with the hood up, black padded gloves and grey combat-style trousers.
Did you see anyone matching these descriptions in the area at that time? Did you see anything suspicious?
