Man charged following Weston Lane incident

A man has been charged following an incident in Southampton earlier this week.

Steven Walden, 22, of Acacia Road, Southampton, has been charged with the following offences:

• causing grievous bodily harm
• dangerous driving
• perverting the course of justice
• possession of an offensive weapon
• driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence
• driving without insurance

It comes following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Weston Lane on July 19.

Mr Walden has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (21 July).
