Robbery attempt in Lychpit

Did you witness a robbery attempt in Lychpit this morning?

At around 1am today (Friday 10 May) a man in his 30s was walking along Lambs Row when he was approached from behind by two men.

One of the men demanded the victim hand over his personal belongings before he was assaulted by both men.

The victim was able to defend himself before the two men ran off empty-handed.

The first man was described as white, aged in his 20s, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins tall, with short hair and wearing a dark coat.

The other man was described as white, aged in his 20s, around 6ft to 6ft 1ins tall, wearing a white hooded top with a stripy pattern.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw two men matching this description acting suspiciously in the area around this time.
