Tribute released to woman who died in Totton collision

The family of a woman who died following a collision in Totton have released a tribute.

Police were called at 11.59am on Thursday 12 July to reports of a collision involving a Peugeot 206 and two pedestrians on a walkway outside Morrison’s on Spruce Drive.

One of the pedestrians, Doris Mary Lush, 86, of Park Road in Chandler’s Ford, was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment where she died a short time later.

The family of Mrs Lush have released the following tribute:

“Doris Mary Lush was an exceptional woman, a wonderful mother and amazing grandmother. Her death has sent shockwaves through our family. Words cannot express the sense of loss in such a tragic incident.”

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain on-going at this time.

The second pedestrian involved in the collision, a 22-year-old woman from Chandler’s Ford, was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to life-changing injuries.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 76-year-old woman from Totton, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
