Witness appeal made following street robberies in Farnborough

We are appealing for information following reports of three robberies in Farnborough in the early hours of Wednesday 29 August.

The incidents took place during a 30-minute period between midnight and 12.30am that day.

In the first incident, a 15-year-old boy was in the playpark in Totland Close when he was approached by a group of men.

They threatened him and he handed over an iPhone 6S. The boy was not injured during the robbery.

In the second incident, two men approached a car that was parked in the car park in Moor Road.

They demanded items from a 23-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman before dragging them out of the car.

The man was assaulted and sustained a chipped tooth. The offenders left with cash and a mobile phone.

In the third incident, a 38-year-old man was threatened and then assaulted by three men on a footpath between Wren Way and Moor Road.

They stole £15 cash, a phone, a set of keys and a moped that the victim had been pushing at the time.

The man sustained a small cut to his forehead in the incident.

Police staff investigator Lara Clementson said: “We are investigating these three incidents and looking to see if they are linked to one another.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about what happened. Do you remember hearing or seeing something suspicious? If so, please get in touch.”
