Witness appeal made in Church Crookham aggravated burglary investigation

We are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Church Crookham.

Sometime between 9pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday 28 August, a man called at a house in Knight Close.

When the door was opened, the man forced his way into the property and assaulted a 52-year-old man.

He also demanded valuables from a 54-year-old woman before leaving the address, possibly in a vehicle.

The 52-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in London.

An investigation is underway and officers are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to come forward.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall with short, dark hair and stubble on his face.

Sergeant Tania Harris said: “This was a concerning incident and officers are working hard to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“Were you in this area at the time? Did you see or hear anything unusual? Perhaps you saw a vehicle that you thought looked out place? If so, please call us.

“Officers have been making enquiries at the scene and carrying out reassurance patrols. Please speak to them if you have any concerns.”
