EVENT: Discussing Random Numbers on Ethereum
Generating random numbers in deterministic blockchain systems is a challenge. There are several approaches to solve the task on Ethereum blockchain, some of them are even patented- and yet inefficient and insecure. Hidden and unknown problems of the most popular methods like including commit & reveal, block-hash usage and oracles will be discussed, with following explanation on how to create a better pseudorandom number using Ethereum contracts.
