Press release -

ID Medical supports Macclesfield radiographers’ London to Paris cycle challenge

ID Medical, the UK’s leading medical recruiter, is supporting a team of radiographers working at its valued client hospital, Macclesfield District General Hospital, as they embark on a 200 mile cycle from London to Paris in less than 24 hours on Saturday 30th May 2015. The cycle challenge is in memory of one of the team member’s son, Abe Vincent who was diagnosed with bone cancer and tragically died in January 2015.

In order to raise awareness of primary bone cancer, a £5000 sponsorship target has been set whereby all donations raised for this event will go directly to the Bone Cancer Research Trust, a charity whose vision is - “We want a world where lives are no longer limited by primary bone cancer.”

The 200 mile cycle will begin at 4pm next Saturday from Westminster Bridge, where the team will cycle to Newhaven and take the midnight ferry to Dieppe. Once in France, they will be racing against the clock cycling non-stop to Paris.

Sarah Fullelove, business manager of ID Medical’s AHP/HSS division commented on the company’s support, “We are very proud to be supporting the team of radiographers taking part in the London to Paris cycle challenge. This inspirational journey is not only in memory of a brave individual, but every donation will go to a great charity which has already made a huge difference.

“ID Medical is always dedicated to supporting its valued clients and candidates. We do everything we can to give a helping hand beyond our daily duty of placing exceptional allied health care professionals into NHS roles.

“As a preferred supplier, we recruit Sonographers for over 90% of Trusts nationwide, which means we work with X-ray and Ultrasound teams every day. This is why we are extremely passionate about supporting the team of radiographers in this charity cycle challenge.

“From everyone at ID Medical we wish the team the best of luck.”

The team has set up a dedicated JustGiving page where all donations can be made to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. ID Medical has submitted a generous donation and has been promoting the event via its social networks.
