Local NHS hospital CEO and Chair personally thank charity supporters

Yesterday, Wednesday 2nd September, Milton Keynes Hospital Charity held a ‘thank you’ reception for its valued supporters at Margaret Powell House in Milton Keynes city centre. As a proud partner of Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and its Leo’s Appeal, raising money for the children’s ward, ID Medical pledged its further support to key stakeholders from the Trust.

Chief Executive Joe Harrison and the Chair of the hospital, Baroness Margaret Wall, were both in attendance and were very pleased to present two very special awards to those who have excelled to support the charity. Over 40 people attended the event to help celebrate the 20th anniversary for the charity.

Caryn Cooper, Head of Marketing at ID Medical and who presented their true NHS partnership approach said, “ID Medical has been supporting Leo’s Appeal since its launch back in September 2013 due to our commitment to giving back to the community and our valued clients, and we are proud to be a participating member of #TeamLeo. Through various fundraising activities ID Medical has contributed to Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s ultimate goals of raising £200,000 to enhance children’s services at Milton Keynes Hospital, and has purchased its first chair bed for the Children’s Ward.

A huge thank you goes to Jenny and Vanessa at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity for organising such a gratifying and rewarding event. It was so heart warming to be in a room filled with a number of people, hearing about the different ways they’ve come together to support the hospital charity, ultimately sharing the same goal of improving patient care.”

Jenny Howells, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity commented on how the evening went, “I was thrilled at the success of our supporter reception – it was wonderful to be able to thank so many of our supporters in person, and of course present a couple of special awards to those who have gone that extra mile for our charity. I was delighted to invite ID Medical to present at the event and let others know what they have done to support us and Leo’s Appeal, which is raising money for the children’s wards at Milton Keynes Hospital. I very much look forward to working with them in the future!”
