Arsenal to launch stadium tours in Portuguese for Brazilian visitors, produced by imagineear

In August 2012 Arsenal will launch tours to the Emirates Stadium in Brazilian Portuguese to complement the languages available onsite, produced by imagineear’s sport division.

A truly global sporting brand, Arsenal Football Club is synonymous with professionalism both on and off the pitch. The Emirates Stadium is the first in the world to offer self-guided multimedia tours to fans and visitors from around the world – now in 9 languages.

Arsenal’s stadium tour takes fans from the Director’s Box to the home dug-out, with guides packed with classic goals from the archive as well as all the latest match action. Featuring unique interviews with Arsène Wenger and the club’s star players, imagineear’s multimedia stadium tours offer fans a truly unique visitor experience.  Since the launch of the new tours in November last year, Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium has quickly established itself as one of London’s premiere sporting attractions.  With the addition of Portuguese, the Emirates Stadium will now welcome visitors in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.

imagineear Sport is a new division of imagineear focussed on developing sport stadiums and museums as successful visitor attractions.  From historic names such as Liverpool and Arsenal Football Clubs to newer players such as Brazil’s Rio 2016 Olympics, imagineear’s innovative work is proof of the transformational impact powerful content and best-in-class technology can deliver for sports brands.

In launching Portuguese stadium tours Arsenal aims to capitalise on one of the fastest growing tourist visitor segments in London.  With extended opening hours over the period of the London Olympics and a new season fast approaching there has never been a better time to visit Emirates Stadium – whether you are a lifelong local fan, or a football fan from Rio de Janeiro.

imagineear, a leading interpreter of the cultural world, whose clients include the Eiffel Tower in France, and the Taj Mahal in India, was selected to provide the multimedia tour for visitors to the Emirates stadium, producing the tour with turnkey responsibilities for script, production and translation, and for distribution to all stadium visitors on the company’s popular mediaPacker™ multimedia player.
