IFST sends representative to global leadership program for food scientists

Tom Hollands MIFST CSci has been selected to represent IFST at Lead 360, a global leadership development program for food scientists. He will represent IFST at IFT’s Annual Meeting and Food Expo (AMFE 15) this summer in the USA.


Each year, IFST pays the expenses for a future leader in food science to participate in Lead 360 and attend IFT’s Annual Meeting and Food Expo in the USA. Lead 360 aims to identify and invest in a group of international, talented and high potential new professionals who are passionate about the profession and excited to learn the leadership skills needed to advance the profession in the 21st century. The program supports and develops these emerging food science professional through a series of high profile events during the AMFE15 programme and through follow on work after the main event.


Tom Hollands currently works at Technical Manager at Raynor Foods. He is a Member of IFST and a Chartered Scientist. Of the award, he says:
“I am delighted to have been asked to represent our institute at this year’s Lead360 and counting down the days to this exciting event! It’s fantastic that the IFST is able to offer this award every year and a privilege to be selected. Thank you IFST!”


Jon Poole, IFST’s Chief Executive, said of this year’s selection: “This is now the third year we have participated in IFT’s Lead 360 which is proving to be a really excellent event. I’m sure Tom will have an excellent experience this year - he is a worthy winner and I know he will prove to be a great ambassador for the IFST on the programme, as have our previous winners.”
