Reunite-TED: London Luton Airport helps get lost toys back to their owners

Over 4.5 million people flew abroad for Christmas in 2017 (source: ABTA), with even more expected to jet off this year. For lots of children, getting on a plane is the start of Christmas and as they lose themselves in the excitement of what’s coming, many of them also lose their toys; travel buddies set down on chairs, left on tables or dropped on luggage belts.

A lost toy can ruin Christmas for a child, so this festive period London Luton Airport (LLA) is trying to reunite lost toys with their owners in time for the 25th.

Clare Armstrong, Head of Passenger Services at LLA, said: “From a child’s point of view, losing your favourite teddy can be really upsetting. Plenty of parents will have experienced that situation first hand, so this Christmas we’re asking for help to reunite lost toys with their owners. We’ve put pictures of lost toys online, so if you know a child who lost their teddy during a recent trip then please check it out and get in touch.”
