Business in focus at Elmia Subcontractor

Also during this years´ industrial fair Elmia Subcontractor, the Lesjöfors group attracted much attention. The lockable gas springs that now are manufactured in-house was a main attraction in the stand.

Elmia Subcontractor is northern Europe's most important fair for the manufacturing industry and its´ subcontractors. The fair 2014 was held November 11-14 and was considered a great success. About 1 200 exhibitors from around 30 countries met the 14 700 visitors in every corner of the exhibition halls. Official figures state that business for about SEK 18 billion were established at the fair.

News in the stand attracted visitors
Some new products were displayed in the Lesjöfors stand. This year´s news included the lockable gas springs that now are manufactured in-house. There are currently no other spring manufacturer that also produces gas springs in everything from conventional gas springs to progressive and lockable varieties.
“Among this year's trade fair visitors, it was probably not many who missed us, given the number of contacts we now have the privilege to continue working with at home”, says Henrik Berner, Exhibition Manager for Lesjöfors.

Sponsored race car demonstrated
In the booth was not only a selection from the wide assortment of springs, gas springs and strip components displayed, but also a full-fledged racing car. Last year's race car that engineering students at Chalmers Technical University competed with in the prestigious Formula Student race received much attention. Lesjöfors has for many years sponsored the Chalmers race car with springs.

The winners of the exhibition contest
This year's winners of Lesjöfors' competition, which was to guess the weight of the Formula Student racing car, were two people. The car's dry weight was 207 kg and the two winners entered 205 and 209 kg - so in fairness, they both win.

The winners, Andreas Edvinson and Fredrik von Elling, receive gift cards sent home as soon as possible.
