Lesjöfors gears up the manufacture of motorsport valve springs

Lesjöfors is putting a major focus to upgrade the range of specialized, high-quality valve springs for motorsport engines. With high speed deliveries and expertise in the service depot, Lesjöfors is now ready to take pole position in yet another strongly niched industry.

Lesjöfors is well-known for its high-quality, custom designed springs used in a wide range of products in many different industries. Now focus is set on the growing segment of valve springs for motorsport engines. The valve spring has a critical function for optimizing the performance of a race car engine. Thanks to a long and fruitful cooperation with various companies within the racing industry, Lesjöfors sees great opportunities in a further developed concept.

Need for speed

Lesjöfors can now offer manufacture of custom made valve springs with very short delivery times, even in small volumes with only a few dozen items. In optimal conditions manufacture of valve springs can be carried out and delivered with unique customer ID within two weeks. All valve springs are manufactured by the factory in Hudene, Sweden.

“All we need from you as our customer is a sample of your current spring. Send the spring to us for evaluation and we can manufacture according to your sample. If you have specific requirements for modifications of your engine´s performance, we can help you to calculate and design a spring according to your needs and preferences", says Niklas Movitz, Key Account Manager at Lesjöfors Industrifjädrar.

It is also possible to calculate and produce a spring based on desired lifetime requirements.

Customized packaging

Since the valve springs are made of a very corrosive material, packaging has great importance for resisting rust. Therefore, a special packaging method is developed which protects the springs and is more environmentally friendly as oiling of the spring is not needed.
