The Three Crowns in Stone steal the Trophy!

The one official LIBRIUM team and two impromptu teams from The Three Crowns in Stone were just too much for the teams from Stone's Royal Exchange and The Sun in Stafford.

Ian Hare and Steve Haimes came out victors securing the Team Challenge Trophy for The Three Crowns after a nail biting 4 games with 5 teams followed by a deciding match.

A warm up game using the new DGT Timer was enough to sharpen the skills needed to win a game of  LIBRIUM with 15 seconds set for each move, but both the official Three Crowns team and the pairing of Carl Howe and Elliot Plant representing The Royal Exchange ended the normal rounds on 4.5 points, so a deciding match was fought... with Carl dropping the cards after a sterling effort in an attempt to retain the trophy for the Exchange.
Well done the Three Crowns!

Teams from local pubs and clubs and individuals are now being invited to register for the LIBRIUM Games World Championships to be held on Monday 26th August at The Sun Real Ale Festival in Stafford.
