Golfers can now access flexible, affordable membership at Macdonald Portal Hotel’s Championship Golf Course

One of the largest golf resorts in the region has just launched a pioneering new golf membership designed to give golfers and opportunity to join a top quality club without a big financial commitment.

And it seems like they have achieved just that – Macdonald Access membership includes a starter pack of 15 rounds of golf, a bonus fourball voucher to use at one of seven superb Macdonald courses in theUK, and even 12-months Personal Liability golf insurance from their partners Golf Care.  Access members can ‘top up’ their membership with extra rounds at any time and can opt to pay a special discounted green fee during off-peak times, which is perfect for a quick nine after work.

Jon Dummett continues:  “Those that have played the Championship Course before will appreciate its spectacular location.  Set high upon the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge, the Championship Course offers panoramic views across several counties and benefits from free-draining soil and USGA-specification greens, meaning superb playing surfaces all year round.  The course was designed by world-renowned architect Donald Steele, who is responsible for several outstanding layouts in theUK.  However, some say he saved his best efforts for Portal’s Championship Course.”
