"We create to Inspire! We inspire to create peace!". The Japan creativity Biennale was a great success.

Kyoto is one of the most ancient and beautiful cities in the world, which was once upon a time Japan’s Capital for more than 1000 years. In the spirit of this celebration, Art Quake Kyoto 2017 was held in a very prestigious venue, the Museum of Kyoto.

The Museum of Kyoto hosting the Japan creativity Biennale.

Thirty five artists, from twenty countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and around the world, have brought paintings, sculptures and other works they have created along the theme of “peace”, and are presenting these works at the 5th Floor Gallery of The Museum of Kyoto.

This exhibition was organized by Rowena Martinez Ulayan, a female painter and curator from the Philippines who currently lives in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul.

Almost none of the works in this exhibition have ever been shown in Japan. The artists with their diverse cultural backgrounds all have a fervent wish for “peace".

Marcel Schreur, the London based artist, showed his work together with artists from around the globe in this niche for creative and cultural immersion

His works touching upon his favourite social topics about equality, sexual harassment and visualising the plead for the weak and vulnerable. The works were well received.
