New Managing Director at MECTEC

Mectec Elektronik AB, the global supplier of print and apply coding equipment is pleased to announce the appointment of Rikard Malmback as Managing Director with effect from the 1st September. Rikard most recently has had the role of Vice President of Business Development at SWEP in Landskrona, Sweden; part of Dover Corporation.
"We are delighted to welcome Rikard to Mectec and the Domino Group; he brings the right breadth of leadership and experience to deliver the sales growth, product strategies and infrastructure development we have planned for our print and apply business. He has a wealth of experiences that will be complementary to the group management team and we look forward to working with him", says Rachel Hurst, Group Operations Director at Domino Printing Sciences plc.
Rikard joined SWEP in 1993 and has been an instrumental part of the group management team responsible for developing the organisation from $10M turnover when he joined to $250M today. SWEP’s products serve as key components in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, boilers which sell in over 90 countries worldwide. He has had a range of general management, commercial, project and operational roles, most recently working in planning of strategic projects at group level. Rikard achieved an Executive MBA whilst at SWEP and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering prior to working for Alfa Laval.

We would like to thank Patrik Jenemark who left the company on the 6th July for his contribution to Mectec over the last 5 years; he has developed and led the team to deliver significant improvements in sales growth and returns from the business during his tenure.
