MedShr to join CRF at CTO summit 2019!

MedShr is working with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation again in 2019 to support the Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Summit! CTO summit 2019 takes place in the heart of NYC, from 28th February to 1st March 2019.

This important meeting for interventional cardiologists combines vital insight from live cases with didactic and hands-on sessions around the newest devices, techniques, and technologies in CTO PCI, as well as how to apply these skills to non-CTO complex PCI.

Join the Discussion in the CTO Summit 2019 Group

We would like to invite attendees to join the Chronic Total Occlusion Summit 2019 Group, where they can connect with fellow delegates, and world experts in CTO and complex PCI. This group gives attendees the unique opportunity to discuss CTO PCI procedures from their own practice ahead of the meeting, and join the discussions on angiograms for the live cases that will be performed at CTO 2019.

Delegates can discuss strategy, techniques, and share tips and tricks from their own clinical practice, as well as insights from the Summit! What’s more, if you’re unable to attend, this group gives you the perfect space to keep up with clinical discussions from key topics at CTO 2019.

Case discussion is integral to reflecting on clinical practice. When sharing patient scans and cases for discussion, many doctors turn to their personal online networks such as Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp. While convenient, these aren’t private, HIPAA or GMC compliant environments to discuss patient information or imaging – regardless of measures taken to anonymize content. The repercussions of sharing this information online can be career damaging.

MedShr - CTO Summit 2019 Case Competition

MedShr will be running a case competition together with CRF. To enter the competition, post your CTO cases before 28th February. Once you have created your case, email  crf@medshr.net with a link to it, to confirm that it is a competition entry. You can do this using the share button at the top of the screen.

Cases will be judged on how interesting they are and on the engagement on MedShr. Winners will be announced during the CTO summit with prizes from MedShr and CRF.

How to MedShr a Case

Juan Granada, President and CEO, CRF said: “We’re working with MedShr to connect cardiology experts around the globe through clinical case discussion. MedShr makes it as simple as a tweet to post clinical case images or movies – every doctor should try it.”
