Mobile Fun Launch the Sim Free HTC Desire

Good news for all you Google fans out there!  Their Sim Free HTC Desire is now available to buy from Mobile Fun, fully unlocked, at a cool £399.95.  Rated 9.2/10 by CNET UK and 5/5 TechRadar, this is one very special gadget that certainly lives up to its name.

Though T-Mobile were offering the device well ahead of other sellers, they have had to delay shipping due to software problems with their stock.  These problems are believed to have been caused by T-Mobile’s own software rather than being anything to do with the HTC Desire itself, so there’s no need to panic!

The handset has some fantastic specs, including a huge 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, which make browsing through your phone and the internet an experience that’s both super quick and crystal clear.  It also has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a host of brilliant multimedia functions.

While the specs will sound very similar to the Nexus One (indeed, they share a common ancestor, the HTC Bravo), the HTC Desire takes things a step further by incorporating the Sense UI.  Sense allows you to take personalisation to new levels, with customisable widgets and different ‘Scenes’ for different phone functions; using one profile for “work” and another for “home”, and so on.  It also combines all of your contacts and social media information into one Friend Feed, making it easy to see what’s happening whenever you want.

It’s been a busy month for Mobile Fun as they’ve also just celebrated the release of the new SIM Free HTC Legend, slightly cheaper at £379.95, which also runs the Sense UI and will serve as the new HTC Hero.
