Heritage talks
Moray Council museums officer Liz Trevethick will give an insight into the treasurers held by the Falconer Museum at Forres during a talk at Buckie library next week.
The free event, on Thursday, October 6 at 6pm, will include a short film on the museum’s Victorian founder, Hugh Falconer, a distinguished geologist, botanist and palaeontologist who studied the flora, fauna and geology of India, Assam and Burma.
Meanwhile, the council’s local heritage officer, James Nock, will be at Burghead library on Wednesday, October 5 from 7pm to 8pm when he will give an illustrated talk on the local heritage collection and archives and records relating to Burghead. The event is free.
