International cuisine for Milne's pupils

Pupils at Milne’s High in Fochabers had their taste buds tickled big time thanks to the culinary creativeness of the school’s catering staff.

As a precursor to the modern languages department’s World Week, they came up with a mouth-watering international lunchtime menu.

Each day of the school week, pupils were presented with a menu of dishes from a different country - Italy on Monday, the USA on Tuesday, India on Wednesday, China on Thursday and Mexico on Friday.

It was hard work for the staff involved but they took satisfaction from the fact that it all proved worth it, with a significant increase in the uptake of school lunches.
