New out-of-hours number for Moray Council

Moray Council’s out-of-hours number is changing to save callers money.

The new number is 03457 565656

Legislative changes mean that anyone calling the current number from a landline or mobile would incur additional charges from July 1.

The decision has been made to change the number so that calls will only be charged at a local rate.

A council spokesman said: “Both the new number and its 08457 565656 predecessor are now active, with calls to the old number being forwarded to the new number. In due course the old number will be disconnected.”

Moray Council receives an average of around 1000 out-of-hours calls each month.
