Press release -

Scottish Parliament elections and EU referendum

The deadline for registering to vote in the Scottish Parliamentary Election was Monday, April 18, so if you're not already registered, you can't vote on May 5.

If you did get registered in time, well done – you are now registered to vote for life… or until you change address.

Once registered you stay registered and will be able to vote in all elections or referendums you are entitled to take part in.

So, no need to re-register for the EU Referendum if you're registered to vote in the Scottish Parliamentary Election.
