Nexus ramps up in Germany – hires new manager
Identity and security company Nexus Group ramps up in Germany to keep up with the steep growth in demand on the market. “We are appointing Ralph Horner as regional manager now, and next year we will announce further investments,” says Nexus CEO Lars Pettersson.
Swedish-owned Nexus has a big footprint in Germany, with many important customers and more than a hundred employees in three locations.
“Germany is our second home market, and we see an amazing potential in the region. We are planning big investments to be able to expand as quickly as possible,” says Pettersson.
To manage the rapid growth, Nexus has appointed Ralph Horner as regional manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“Horner is a very senior leader, with more than 20 years of experience in the software business and more than 10 years of experience in the security field. He knows the market very well and has a reliable network. He is the right person to take Nexus’s business in the region to the next level,” says Pettersson.
Horner is joining Nexus on November 1, leaving the position as CEO for Region Europe at manufacturing execution system vendor Forcam. He has earlier had several other managerial positions, at companies such as security and workforce management system vendor Allegion, and digital business platform vendor Software AG.
“I am joining Nexus since I want to be part of a fast moving company with ambitious growth targets in the security area. I am also certain that my contributions will really matter – and that I will have fun on the job,” says Horner.
He has done business with Nexus in the past and is well acquainted with the company.
“Nexus has great and motivated people, top products, an excellent customer base, and a world class company culture. And the fact that the company is value-driven makes it really unique,” says Horner.
The current regional manager, Bernd Dieckmann, will assume the new role as sales manager.
