Niam sells properties in Sweden and Finland to Partners Group for €300 million

Niam sold the remaining assets in Niam Fund III during June and July 2014 to Partners Group, the Swiss-based investment manager. The remaining assets included office and retail properties in Finland and Sweden with a total lettable area of approximately 380,000 square meters. Niam Fund III was an opportunistic real estate fund focused on investing in the Nordic region.

Johan Bergman, Niam CEO, says, “The sale marks the final chapter in the successful fund life of Niam Fund III. We are happy that we exceeded our targets and delivered a solid return to our investors.”

Since 2004, Niam Fund III managed properties totaling over 1.5 million square meters.

Urban Ehrling, Niam III Fund Manager, says, “We added considerable value to the portfolios in Niam Fund III through project development and active asset management. We are proud of our work with these properties especially since all of them were acquired prior to the economic crisis of 2008. I have had a long career and a successful ending at Niam, now I am looking forward to doing other
things.”
