Niam sells residential portfolio in Copenhagen
Niam has entered into an agreement to sell a portfolio of 436 residential apartments to Heimstaden, a Swedish property company, for DKK 1,400 million.
The portfolio comprises approximately 44,000 sqm distributed over 9 different properties in the Copenhagen area. The properties were acquired by Niam in the period from 2012 to 2013.
Johan Bergman, Niam CEO, says, “We are happy to sign this agreement with a strong buyer. We entered the Copenhagen residential market with good timing and the sale generates an attractive return to our investors.” and he continues, “We continue to have a positive view on the market and after the sale we will still own approximately 400 residential units in the Copenhagen area.”
The transaction will take place with effect as of March 1, 2016.
