Truth Can Be Stranger Than Fiction. Fiction Can Sometimes Come True

Originally from Bournemouth, Dorset, England, Mark McClafferty moved to Los Angeles, California in search of adventure in 1991. At about the same time when Jordan Belfort (Wolf of Wall Street) was scamming his investors of millions of dollars, Mark McClafferty was embarking on his own Investment Ponzi Scheme. His investment schemes led him to embezzle $117 million from investors throughout America. When the Dot Com bubble burst in 2001, Mark fled the United States in 2001; pursued as a fugitive by the FBI for nearly 3 years.

Following his capture and extradition back to the United States in 2004, Mark was sentenced to serve 4 years and 9 months in Federal prison. It was there Mark wrote his novel, ‘Exile Corporation’ realizing he was in a place where no one wants to go but everyone wants to know about, and so Mark set about befriending and interviewing some of the high-power Cartel and Mexican Mafia member inmates in Federal prison, using their stories as the basis for his novel. Published in 2010, his novel has now been developed into the fast paced, high-octane, crime drama, feature film, Exile Corporation, being produced by his company, NVS Media (Group) Ltd.

The film features several US and UK film and television series actors who have appeared in Scorpion, Burn Notice , Sons of Anarchy , OZ and Footballers’ Wives. One actor, Annet Artani, has toured with and wrote a hit record with Britney Spears. Another actor, Nellie Sciutto has been in several box office hits, including: The Aviator, The Departed and Shutter Island. “Big Joe” Egan has been featured in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and has just completed filming the latest installment of Predators .

Anthony L. Fernandez who plays 'Bezerk' in Exile Corporation can be seen in the hit comedy, The Wedding Ringer. The cast of Exile Corporation is an eclectic mix, reflecting the people that have been in Mark’s life to date.

This film looks to be a monster hit from the opening as people generally love to watch crime drama films that are based on true stories, especially when it is showing someone who is loving life and living large, until it all comes crashing down.
